Nepal tour itinerary for one week starts from Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, and stretches to Chitwan and Pokhara – the two most popular tourist destinations of Nepal. You could do an escorted tour of the historical sights in Kathmandu Valley, experience a safari at the Chitwan National Park, and explore Pokhara with spectacular views of the Annapurna and Fishtail mountains.

Our guide comes to your hotel to pick you up with transportation. As soon as you take your breakfast, your Day Sightseeing begins, you will be visiting four major landmarks in Kathmandu including Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath (Monkey Temple), and Kathmandu Durbar Square.
Our Guide will give you a perfect idea of which place would be the best to initiate. Basically, the trip begins with a tour to Swoyambhunath also known as the Monkey Temple – a 2500 years old landmark; it is said to be, the Radiant Lotus of the Valley-Mythology, established when the water was drained by Manjushree, the God of Wisdom. This Temple is a famous pilgrimage site for Buddhists and is located on a beautiful hill inside Kathmandu Valley. It is situated on top of a hill that could be observed from almost every part of the Kathmandu Valley. The tourists call this Stupa ‘Monkey Temple’ as there are many monkey monkeys living around the Place. After Sightseeing around Monkey Temple, we drive to another landmark, Boudhanath Stupa. This Stupa has been renovated after the Earthquake in 2015 as this was also impacted. The Boudhanath Stupa is the world’s biggest Stupa and represents Tibetan Buddhists Culture in Nepal. Antique shops around these stupas where you can buy things of your preferences concerning Tibetan Culture and Lifestyles. After a visit to Boudhanath, you will be transferred to the Pashupatinath Temple, which is located on the bank of the Bagmati River. It is a sacred Temple for Hindus as many people from different parts of the world visit this temple every year and during the Shiva Ratri, hundreds of thousands of devotees and Sadhus come to attend. The last site of this day is Kathmandu Durbar Square, Hanuman Dhoka, the ancient Royal residential quarter, Mahadev Parvati Temple, Temple house of Kumari (Living Goddess) around this Durbar Square. Walk around the local bazaar and back to the hotel.
After breakfast early in the morning, you start your amazing trip to Pokhara. It is about 200km west of Kathmandu. You will drive through Trishuli Valley and upstream to the junction of Marsyangdi River. Having pleasant weather, Pokhara is a paradise for tourists full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as caves, lakes, temples of Hindus, and Buddhists along with mountains. You can also fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara if you have a short time in Nepal, which takes about 35 minutes to reach by flight.
Early in the morning before sunrise, our guide will wake you up and take you up to the Sarangkot for a sunrise view of the Annapurna Mountains including Fishtail. The drive to Sarangkot from the hotel takes about half an hour. After you return from Sarangkot’s viewpoint, breakfast will be served at the hotel. After breakfast, we take you boating in Phewa Lake and then drive to World Peace Pagoda. If you take a drive, you have to walk for about 15 minutes through several steps to reach the Pagoda.
Alternatively, you can also hike to World Peace Stupa from the other side of Phewa Lake. If you like short hiking, this could be a perfect idea for hiking in Pokhara. It takes about 1.5 hours to reach the Stupa from Phewa Lake. Take some rest after lunch and have a free walk around Lakeside Street in the evening. Overnight at the hotel
It is about 90 Km from Pokhara to Chitwan, which takes about 4-5 hours. You will have a scenic drive following the corridor of the River. We leave from Pokhara after breakfast and lunch will be served at the hotel in Chitwan. If we do not feel tired, we can still attend some activities in Chitwan, consulting with your guide, you can do some jungle activities in the late afternoon/evening time.
After the morning breakfast, Canoe rides in the Rapti River (a good opportunity to see birds and Two rare species of Crocodiles like the Marsh Mugger and Fish-eating Gharial), jungle walk, and visit Elephant Bathing Center. In the Afternoon after Lunch, Jeep Safari (A Good opportunity to see 4 different types of deer, Rhinos, Wild Boar, Monkey, Leopard, Sloth Bear, and also encounter many other mammals that have made Chitwan their home). In the Evening, Enjoy the Sun Set view from the bank of Rapti River and the Show or Cultural program. Take Dinner and Go to Sleep.
After breakfast at the hotel, Visit the Government Elephant Breeding Center or other jungle activities before you return to Kathmandu. If you are going in a private vehicle, you will have plenty of time to explore around, if you are using Local tourist transport, you have to be ready at about 9:00 AM to return to Kathmandu.
This is the end of your day in Nepal; you will be transferred to the airport for your final departure to your onward destination or home.
