Itineraries


Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1310m)

You will arrive in Kathmandu; you will be picked up by our representative from HimalayanWindows Tours and transferred to the airport.

Note: Depending on your arrival time, we apply for the Tibet Group Visa (TGV) the same day or the next day as we need at least 2-3 working days to prepare the TGV at the Embassy of the Republic of China in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Full Day Sightseeing in Kathmandu

A full-day sightseeing tour will combine various monument cultures and Heritage sites within the valley- Boudhanath Buddhist StupaPashupatinath Hindu Temple, Kathmandu durbar squareSwoyambunath Buddhist. KTM Durbar Square, Hanuman Dhoka museum, and Kumari (virgin) living goddess temple.

Day 3: Sightseeing Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar Square

After breakfast at the hotel, we take you to Patan Durbar Square to explore Patan Durbars, Mahaboudha, Krishna Temple, Kumbeshwor Temple, Golden Temple and etc. You feel like Patan has been exposed before you as an open museum presenting stunning carved windows, intrinsic roof struts, statues of gods and goddesses, temples designed in Pagoda Style with erotic carvings and metalwork faces, and many other beautiful facets. Additionally, you will also get to see the handicraft center in Patan. And proceed to Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a home of unique culture and the finest display of craftsmanship. It is said that Bhaktapur only places in Nepal which is remained untouched by Western Culture. Golden Gate, Lion Gate, Art Gallery, Nyatapola Temple, Statue of King Bhupindra, and fifty-five windowed Malla Palace are the points of pride of Bhaktapur. And drive back to the hotel.

Day 4: Kathmandu to Lhasa (3650m): about an hour flight

Early in the morning, drive to the TIA airport and take a Himalayan flight to Lhasa, it is about an hour’s flight, and our guide will be waiting for you at the Gonggar Airport, you will be picked up and dropped off at the hotel.

Day 5 & 6: Two Full Days Sightseeing in Lhasa

On these two full days, you will be visiting Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Sera Monastery, Drepung Monastery, and Barkhor Street.

Day 7: Lhasa to Kathmandu by flight

After breakfast in the morning, take a return flight to Kathmandu. You will be picked up by our representative and transferred to the hotel. Rest and relax

Day 8: Kathmandu – Paro by flight

During the flight, on a clear day, you can see magnificent views of the Himalayas Mountains, including the sacred Jumolhari and Jichu Drake Peaks in Bhutan. On arrival you will be received by our guide and driver; transferred to your hotel.

If time permits in the afternoon you can visit the following places:

-Paro Dzong

In the evening you can drive to the capital town of Thimphu.

Day 9: Thimphu sightseeing and Drive to Paro (1460m.) – 2 hours

there are so many places to see in the capital which has a very peaceful, laid-back feel about them. Thimpu is a moderately small city having a population of approximately 80000 people and the streets are wide and tree-lined. You will almost surely visit the Late King’s Memorial Chorten, the National Library, Drubthob Nunnery, Folk Heritage Museum, the handmade paper factory, the school of arts and crafts where young students learn the traditional arts and crafts (Zo Rig Chusum – the thirteen crafts), Gold and the Silver Smiths workshop, Zangtopelri Lhakhang, and the Handicraft Emporium and the local handicraft centers to see the weavers at work and also varieties of textiles, Thangkha paintings, masks, jewelry, etc.

Afternoon you can also visit Thimpu Dzong which is the administrative headquarter of Bhutan.
Late afternoon drive to Paro for overnight stay.

Day 10: Hike to Takshang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest Temple)

After breakfast hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) Monastery, which is Bhutan’s most famous monastery. It is perched on the edge of a steep cliff, about 900 meters above Paro Valley. The hike to reach the viewpoint of the monastery makes for a nice half-day excursion. After lunch, you can visit other important sites which you could not complete on previous days.

After lunch, a tour of Bhutan’s national museum, a fascinating place housed in an old watchtower above the huge Paro Dzong (monastery/fortress). The museum holds a fantastic collection of Bhutanese national treasures ranging from ancient armor to textiles and thangka paintings. Then, we drive to the head of the valley and visit Drukgyel Dzong built in a location that was chosen for its control over the route to Tibet. An amazing view of Mount. Jumolhari (23,996ft /7314m) can be visibly seen from here. Also, visit Rinpung Dzong and a typical Bhutanese farmhouse.

Day 11: Paro - Depart (Kathmandu, Delhi, Bangkok, etc)

After early breakfast in the hotel, drive to the airport to connect to Kathmandu or any other destinations such as Delhi, Kolkotta, Dhaka, Bangkok, Singapore and etc. Your trip ends here.
