Overview


Experience an unforgettable adventure as you trek to Everest Base Camp in Nepal for 12 days and take a cultural 3-night/4-day tour of Lhasa from Kathmandu. As you journey through the awe-inspiring Himalayas, you will have the chance to dive deep into the rich Tibetan culture, making for a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Itineraries


Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1310m)

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu at Tribhuvan Internation airport, meet and greet by the representative of HimalayanWindows. Transfer to the hotel – Brief about the trek to Mount Everest Base camp and Lhasa Tibet Tour Package.

Day 02: Fly Kathmandu to Lukla (30 mins flight) and trek to Phakding (2610m): 3-4 hrs

Drive to Kathmandu airport (Domestic terminal) at least 1 hour before the flight. After flying to Lukla, arranging your bags and meeting your porters, trek downhill to lodges at Cheplung. From here the trail contours along the side of the Dudh Kosi valley before ascending to Ghat (Lhawa; 2530m). The trail climbs again to Phakding at 2610m above the sea level.  Overnight at Tea House

Day 03: Trek Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3420m): 5 -6 hrs

The train crosses the river on the long, swaying bridge and then leads you along the river to climb to Benkar (2700m). A short distance beyond Benkar the trail crosses the Dudh Koshi River to its east bank on a suspension bridge and climbs to Chumoa. It’s a short climb through forest to Monjo (2800m), where we can have lunch. Trek to Jorsale (2830m), the last settlement before Namche Bazar, the trail crosses back to the east side of the river before climbing to the high suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River.

It is steady two hours ascend from here to Namche Bazar. As this is the first climb to an altitude where AMS may be a problem, take it easy and avoid rushing. Before reaching to Namche, your TIMS will be checked and National Park fees collected.

Day 04: Full Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar

Namche Bazaar is the main trade and administrative center for the entire Khumbu Region and has trek shorts, restaurant, nice lodges with hot showers, bakeries, pharmacies, money changer, massage center, post office, ATM and internet cafes. You can easily spend a day roaming around the Namche Bazaar. Early in the morning, you can go for short hike to Everest view point and back to the town. Overnight at Hotel/lodges

Day 05: Trek Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3860m): 5-6 hrs

This route from Namche to Tengboche also kind of spiritual because of several monasteries and temples. The trail heads through Kayangjuma towards Sansa and pine forest before reaching Tengboche. You will visit Tengboche Monastery, the spiritual center of Khumbu situated at an elevation of 3860m. Overnight at Tengboche

Day 06: Trek Tengboche to Pheriche (4240m)/Dingboche (4360m)

Beyond Tengboche, the altitude really starts to show. The trail drops down to Debuche, crosses the Imja Khola and Climbs through rhododendron forest past superb mani stopes (Carved with Tibetan Buddhists Mantra; Om Mani Padme Hum) to Pangpoche (3860m). The Gompa here is the oldest in the Khumbu and until 1991 it was said to hold the skull and hand of Yeti. A village is a good place for a lunch stop.

The trail then climbs past Shomare and Orsho to Pheriche, where there is an HRA trekkers aid post and possible medical assistance- alternatively you can head to Dingboche, the gateway to Imja Tso (Island Peak). It is a good place for the next day’s short hike during the acclimatization day. Dingboche has multiple tea houses and a restaurant. Overnight at Tea house

Day 7: Another Rest Day at Pheriche/Dingboche – Hike Around or Proper Rest

This is another rest day during your Everest Base Camp trekking, you will need to adjust with an altitude again as you will be ascending up to 5000m now.  A short hike around Pheriche/Dingboche gives you strength and capacity to adapt to the local weather. Overnight at tea house

Day 08: Trek Pheriche/Dingboche to Lubuche (4930m) 5-6 hrs

This day, you will hike to Lobuche which lies at an elevation of 4840m, on the way to Lobuche, you pass through a number of stone memorials to honor climbers who failed to attempt to make it to the Mount Everest. This route offers stunning views of Nuptse, Cholatse, Thamserku and several other jaw-dropping mountain views. When the train reaches to Khumbu Glacier moraine, you will have the closest view of the Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori and Mahalangur Himal. Overnight at Lobuche

Day 09: Trek Lobuche to Gorakh Seph (5160m) – trek to Everest Base Camp (5360m): 7-8 hrs

This day is the most awaiting and thrilling day of your trek of EBC. After the breakfast, you will hike to Gorakshep (Last settlement on this EBC trekking), you will take lunch at Gorakshep and hike up to amazing Khumbu Icefall and you will trek to Everest Base camp; spend about an hour exploring the campsite which is gifted by scenic natural beauty. After an exploration of EBC, trek back to Gorakshep. Spend a night at Gorakshep

Day 10: Gorakshep – KalaPatthar (5545m/18188ft); 3hrs – Pheriche (4280m) – Trek 3-4hrs.

Early in the morning (before the sun rises); hike to Kalapatthar (5545m) and this is the highest point of this trek from where the magnificent mountain views can be seen in front of you. This is an excellent viewpoint of Mount Everest including Pumori, Nuptse, Loptse and etc. After spending an hour on the viewpoint, trek back to Gorakshep; eat breakfast and trek down to Pheriche. Overnight at Pheriche

Day 11: Trek Pheriche to Namche: 5-6 hrs

This day is another day of descending with views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, and Amadablam. We descend to Deboche and short trek to Tengboche Monastery. We will continue descending to Dudh Koshi River and then climb for 1 and half hours to Kyangjuma for lunch. We will finish our trek with a gradually descending walk from Kyangjuma to Namche Bazar. Overnight at Namche

Day 12: Trek Namche to Lukla (2800m)- Trek for 5-6 hrs.

You will leave Namche Bazaar and get a big descent to Phakding; you will have plenty of scenic photos if the weather is clear. And further descending to Lukla as we begin with a descent, the climb to end the trip of our adventure of a lifetime!  Overnight at Lukla

Day 13: Lukla – Kathmandu by Flight.

Prepare for the return flight to Kathmandu early in the morning. Sometimes, flights can be delayed or canceled due to bad weather, take some spare days in Kathmandu not to miss your international flights. (Breakfast Included)

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel.

Day 14: Full Day Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley

Our guide comes to your hotel to pick you up with transportation. As soon as you take your breakfast, you a Day Sightseeing begins, you will be visiting four major landmarks in Kathmandu including Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath (Monkey Temple) and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Overnight at hotel

 

Day 15: Fly Kathmandu to Lhasa (1 hour flight)

Upon your arrival in Lhasa; you will be met by our guide and transferred to the hotel. Stroll around your hotel. Your guide will brief you about the two days sightseeing in Lhasa. Overnight at hotel in Lhasa

Day 16/17: Two Full Days Sightseeing tour in Lhasa City

You will have two full days sightseeing tours on your Lhasa Tibet Tour -4Days Package exploring the most popular attractions inside Lhasa such as Potala Palace – the impressive but spiritless citadel of the Dalai Lamas, Jokhang Temple- Tibet holiest sanctum, pilgrim join around the glowing shrines of the Jokhang, Barkhor Market – monks, mendicants and fellow pilgrims around the fascinating medieval pilgrim circuit, Sera and Drepung Monasteries- Tibet’s great monastic cities and take in a prayer meeting or some monk-debating at Sera. Overnight at hotel

Day 18: Fly Back from Lhasa to Kathmandu / any other destination to mainland China

After the tour ends in Lhasa; our guide will drop you off to the airport or train station. If you are flying back to Kathamndu; our guide at the Kathmandu airport receives and transfers to the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 19: Departure- back home

Finally, your 19 Days adventure trip Mount Everest Base Camp and Lhasa Tibet is over. Our team will bid you farewell and transfer you to the airport with a promise to meet again.
