Gosainkunda Helicopter Day tour starts after we take off from Kathmandu airport domestic terminal.
One of our representatives from the company will meet you at the hotel and transfer you to the Kathmandu airport domestic terminal. Our staff will introduce you to the helicopter representative at the airport to proceed with the Heli Pad.
Before boarding, pilots will explain some important guidelines and things to avoid during the helicopter flight. You will be introduced to the flight crew and you will have a chance to clear up any queries about the flight.
As we gain altitude, we get to experience the birds-eye view of the bustling Kathmandu valley and then head to the north, away from the city. The helicopter flies over the highways of Nuwakot district, Rasuwa, and Sindhupalchok districts. After about 30 minutes, we land the holy Gosaikunda Lake at the altitude of 4380 meters above sea level.
Once we land at the holy Gosaikunda, the refreshing breeze hits you reminding that you are at the Himalaya now. You will see lakes surrounding by large rocks of different shapes and sizes. If you believe in Hinduism, you can take a holy bath at the lake or swimmers lovers can take a dip but it is not recommended though. If you are planning Poja in the lake, you can attend worship (puja); depending on your things to do, the chopper waits for you up to half an hour.
After breakfast, we return to the helicopter and prepare to return to Kathmandu.
An exciting flight back to Kathmandu from the holy Gosaikunda gives you another opportunity to enjoy the spectacular views and make it a satisfactory trip. After 30 minutes of the ride, you will land at Kathmandu airport and end your trip officially.
