Itineraries


Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m)

Anytime before or after noon, our committed team will receive you at the airport. A warm drive will be sure to take you to the hotel, followed by the management of the day and evening with a cultural dinner at one of the best restaurants in Kathmandu. This will also be the time when you meet with your guide, who will brief you about the beautiful odyssey that will see the first light of day tomorrow.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek preparation

Today, you will take a guided tour of Kathmandu’s most revered UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swoyambhunath Temple, and the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square. All of these sites will give you a peek at Nepal’s living soul and vibrant culture, which breathes life into the rich heritage. In the afternoon, we shall help you in your last minutes of shopping and equipment rental so that you remain prepared for tomorrow for your trek.

Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2800m)

You shall leave for the airport early in the morning to board your flight or helicopter ride to Lukla, one of the gateways to the Everest Region. After reaching Lukla, this is the place from where you shall embark on your trek as you take an attractive hike to Phakding. This is a moderate hike taking you all around the day, about three to four hours, and is surely going to set the tone for the adventure that lies ahead.

Day 04: Trek Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3438m) | 6-7 hours

After breakfast between the mountains, trek to Namche Bazaar, which is a busy market of the Khumbu region and has so much to provide trekkers for a great vista and an amazing cultural experience.

Day 05: Namche Bazaar Acclimatization Day | Hike Hotel Everest View

A relatively lighter day is required for proper acclimatization; hike for a short distance to the Everest View Hotel, which offers grand views of the Mount Everest range. Spend the remainder of the day admiring the charm and bustle of the Namche Bazaar market.

Day 06: Trek Namche Bazaar to Deboche (3829m) | 5- 6 hours

Post breakfast, the trails are ferried through the Majesties up to Deboche, where one will spend the night after having passed Tengboche, famous as the spiritual center with the Monastery and backdrop of Himalayan giants

Day 07: Trek Deboche to Dingboche (4360m) | 5- 6 hours

The village on the way offers the most spectacular views where it will be a must to stop and spend the night gaining rest and collection of strength for further passage.

Day 08: Another Acclimatization day in Dingboche

Rest and acclimatize at Dingboche. Do some local walks for better acclimatization to the altitude and enjoy the beautiful serenity of the Everest region.

Day 09: Trek Dingboche to Lobuche (4940m) | 4-5 hours

Fill your energy with breakfast before heading off to the trail to Lobuche, crossing yet another path up to the Everest Base Camp trail. This is going to be one of the important days of your trip to Everest Base Camp, including the magnificent mountain panorama.

Day 10: Trek Lobuche to Gorakhshep (5364m), visit Everest Base Camp back to Gorakhshep

Today, the trail brings you to Gorakhshep and links with a hike to Everest Base Camp. Visit this popular base camp for climbers and then retrace your steps back to GorakhShep amid feelings of achievement and awe at the majesty of Everest.

Overnight at Hotel Snowland or Everest Lodge (Not a luxury, not the best available ones)

Day 11: Hike Gorakhshep to Kalapatthar and fly back to Kathmandu by a helicopter

Hike to Kala Patthar early in the morning and get the most panoramic view of the Everest range and a closer view of the majestic Mt. Everest itself. Hike back from Kalapatthar to the lodge and have breakfast, then take a helicopter back to Kathmandu from Gorakhshep, making a stop at Lukla on the way for refueling.

Day 12: Departure

Today is your departure day, so according to the flight time, we will transfer you to the international airport for your final departure. If interested, there are extension activities for further exploration in Kathmandu Valley a relaxed visit to Chitwan National Park, or an adventures-filled exploration in Bhutan or Tibet with HimalayanWindows Tours.

Note: We still recommend having one extra day in Kathmandu due to the reason for flight cancellation due to unpredictable weather.
