Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Nagarkot Tour is a combination of the cultural and historical beauties of Kathmandu and Pokhara Valleys with the picturesque excursion of Nagarkot hill within the itinerary of 8 nights 9 days Nepal Tour. The Nepal tour itinerary for 9 days also presents a cultural and religious drive to the most impressive places in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Patan, Nagarkot, and Pokhara. Itineraries


Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1310m)

You will be thrilled watching panoramic flying into Kathmandu with the views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks sprawling down; you will already get excited to explore the country. Our representative from HimalayanWindows will meet you at the airport terminal and transfer your reserved hotel.

Day 2: Full Day Sightseeing in Kathmandu

Our guide comes to your hotel to pick you up with transportation. As soon as you take your breakfast, your a Day Sightseeing begins, you will be visiting four major landmarks in Kathmandu including Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath (Monkey Temple), and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Our Guide will give you a perfect idea about what place would be the best to initiate. Basically, the trip begins with a tour to Swoyambhunath also known as the Monkey Temple – a 2500 years old landmark; it is said to be, the Radiant Lotus of the Valley-Mythology, established when the water was drained by Manjushree, the God of the Wisdom. This Temple is a famous pilgrimage site for Buddhists, is located on a beautiful hill inside Kathmandu valley. It is situated on top of a hill that could be observed from almost every part of the Kathmandu Valley. The tourists call this Stupa ‘Monkey Temple’ as there are many monkey monkeys living around the Places.

After the Sightseeing around Monkey Temple, we drive to another landmark, Boudhanath Stupa. This Stupa has been renovated after the Earthquake 2015 as this was also impacted. The Boudhanath Stupa is the world’s biggest Stupa and represents Tibetan Buddhists Culture in Nepal. Antique shops around these stupas where you can buy things of your preferences concerning Tibetan Culture and Lifestyles.

After a visit to Boudhanath, you will be transferred to the Pashupatinath Temple, which is located at the bank of Bagmati River. It is a sacred Temple for Hindus as many people from different parts of the world visit this temple every year and during the Shiva Ratri, hundreds of thousands of devotees and Sadhus come to attend.

The last site of this day is Kathmandu Durbar Square, Hanuman Dhoka, the ancient Royal residential quarter, Mahadev Parvati Temple, Temple house of Kumari (Living Goddess) around this Durbar Square. Walk around the local bazaar and back to the hotel.

Day 3: Full Day Sightseeing in Patan and Bhaktapur

On the day third, same-day second, our guide comes to your hotel, begins your day tour.

After breakfast at the hotel, we take you to Patan Durbar Square to explore Patan Durbars, Mahaboudha, Krishna Temple, Kumbeshwor Temple, Golden Temple and etc. You feel like Patan has been exposed before you as an open museum presenting stunning carved windows, intrinsic roof struts, statues of gods and goddesses, temples designed in Pagoda Style with erotic carvings and metalwork faces, and many other beautiful facets. Additionally, you will also get to see the handicraft center in Patan and continue to drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a home of unique culture and the finest display of craftsmanship. It is said that Bhaktapur only places in Nepal which is remained untouched by Western Culture. Golden Gate, Lion Gate, Art Gallery, Nyatapola Temple, Statue of King Bhupindra, and fifty-five windowed Malla Palace are the pride of Bhaktapur. And drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 4: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

After breakfast early in the morning, you start your amazing trip to Pokhara. It is about 200km west of Kathmandu. You will drive through Trishuli Valley and upstream to the junction of Marsyangdi River. Having pleasant weather, Pokhara is a paradise for tourist with full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as caves, lakes, temples of Hindus and Buddhists along with mountains. You can also fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara if you have a short time in Nepal, which takes about 35 minutes to reach by flight.

Day 5: Full Day Sightseeing In Pokhara Valley

After breakfast at the hotel, your sightseeing begins inside the valley of Pokhara. You will be visiting major attractions of Pokhara valley such as Old Bazaar of Pokhara City, Seti Gorge, Bindhyabasini Temple, Buddhist Monastery, Pokhara Regional Museum which shows the traditional and cultural aspects of Western Nepal. Devis Fall, Gupteshwor Cave, Tibetan Refugee Camp, Bahari Temple located in the central part of Phewa Lake are other attractions in Pokhara.

Day 6: Drive to Sarangkot, Peace Stupa and boating at Fewa Lake

This day, you will get up early in the morning to go to Sarangkot, which is very popular view point for Sunrise and Sunset. In other words, It is popular spot to view the massive and snow-capped Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Ranges. It is about an hour drive from Lakeside pokhara and in the after you will visit Peace Stupa, it is nearly one and half hour hiking and descend to and from Phewa Lake, alternatively you can also drive via Devis fall.

Day 7: Drive back from Pokhara to Nagarkot

After the breakfast, you start driving back to Kathamndu and continue driving to Nagarkot and enjoy sunset in the evening. Next day, you will get up very early in the morning to enjoy wonderful views of the Mountains.

Day 8: Drive back from Nagarkot to Kathmandu

Morning witness Sunrise from Nagarkot hill and explore around. Later depart for Kathamndu and on arrival check in to your hotel and go for shopping or relax.

Day 9: Transfer to the airport for final departure.

This is your last day in Nepal, go for shopping or other activities if you have time or transfer to the airport for final departure.
